It's sounds exactly like it should, raw, authentic, and surprising quiet and clear .

I would say this is closer to a 1966-1967 pressing, based on the Modern Graphics credit on the outer sleeve.

Sounds Great ! Sound a hell of a lot better than any prior Columbia or prior versions. I have not have heard the box set of 10 inches Columbia put out but they keep milking the cow. This is the absolute best I've heard Robert Johnson. It's a legit release as well. Should be listed!

Avoid "WaxTime" pressings, WaxTime is a Russian operation that presses vinyl straight from whatever MP3 and CD sources they have on hand, not original or analog tapes. WaxTime recordings are known for their extremely poor quality. Most Waxtime jackets have an "audiophile" hype sticker but that's just a bunch of Russki BS -- 180g does not an audiophile pressing make...you'd be better off buying a CD for half the price...

If you are looking for some Robert Johnson in your collection I would jump on this

Picked this up in Canada. Don't have the original to compare it to, but sounds pretty well mastered. Quiet vinyl, no surface noise outside of those from the original master. Definitely worth the price since the DOL pressing is a few dollars more anyway. Interested to hear what others have to say.

I can only compare the two that I have, but both are in similar condition. This 1967 versus 1980s reissue - night and day. 1967 wins by a mile. Does anyone have comments on the two eye from 1963 vs. 67? Not a lot of information about the dead wax to figure out what would be different other than pressing quality from the various plant. What other variables play between those years for CBS, in general? I am not going to ask a comparison from anyone with the six eye, ha! But am I correct that the same mix and plates would be at play from six to two to no eye in 67? TIA for any help.

First track on side A had some nasty cracks on my piece. Rest of the record got better. It did not however hinder my experience in any way ;) Just like 1st comment below, it actually gives i nice feel to it all in a way.

Sounds good BUT side 1 is cut into side 2 also soooooooo I only have half the album. Anyone else have this error?
